‘Hamlet’

The Community College of Allegheny County South Campus Theatre Company, Food for Groundlings, presents Shakespeare’s classic tragedy “Hamlet” at 7:30 p.m. June 17-20 in the campus theatre. Among the most influential and powerful tragedies in English literature, “Hamlet” dramatizes the revenge Prince Hamlet seeks on his uncle, Claudius, who murdered his brother and Hamlet’s father, King Hamlet, and who married Hamlet’s mother, Gertrude, after seizing the throne.

Admission is free with a suggested donation to the Kevin Dilworth Memorial Theatre and Dance Scholarship or a non-perishable food item to be donated to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. Dilworsh was a CCAC theatre and dance student who passed away from complications due to cystic fibrosis in 2012.
