All members of the Seton La Salle Forensics team have consistently placed in the top 10 at the local tournaments throughout this past season. Two members, juniors Gwyneth Loughran (left) and Kiersten Swanson (right) have done exceptionally well as they placed in the top five at the National Catholic Forensics qualifier held at Upper St. Clair High School in the spring. Both girls competed at the National Catholic Forensics Tournament over Memorial Day weekend in Ft. Lauderdale. Gwyneth and Kiersten will compete with students in public and parochial schools from all 50 states in the Oratorical Interpretation of Literature category. This will be Gwyneth’s second year going to the National tournament and her third year competing in forensics. It is Kiersten’s first year competing in forensics and qualifying to the National tournament. Both girls are coached by Lauren Hess (center).
