Two deer accidents in five months

2 min read

In her letter, “

My daughter hit two deer while driving her car. The first accident occurred in Rostraver on Route 51. The car damage was $9,000. If the hood of the car didn’t come up, the deer would have gone through the windshield. She was driving at the speed limit of 55 mph. If came dashing across the road and there was no time to stop.

She hit the second deer five months later on McMillan Road in Upper St. Clair. The deer came dashing over the railing, right into her car. She was only going 25 mph, but still got hurt. She has gone through two and a half years of physical therapy, lost her job and still wakes up every morning with terrible pain in her back.

Don’t tell me these deer aren’t a problem. All counties should get together and lower the deer population. Ask the car dealers and they will tell you how many accidents are caused by deer. It is not murder. It is taking care of a dense population of deer.
