Children’s author to appear at PT library

Children’s book author and illustrator Will Hillenbrand will appear at the Peters Township Public Library at 6:30 p.m. April 7. The special program is being planned to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Pennsylvania’s One Book, Every Young Child program, which highlights the importance of early literacy development in preschoolers ages 3-6.
Jane and Will Hillenbrand’s picture book “What a Treasure!” was chosen in 2010 to lead this initiative. Since the book was published in 2006, children have been accompanying Mole on his dig as he discovers exciting treasures for both his animal friends and for himself.
At the April 7 program, Hillenbrand will discuss his writing, the illustrating process and read from one of his books. A book signing will follow the program where families can meet the author. Refreshments will be provided.
Will has written and/or illustrated more than 50 books.
