Upper St. Clair holding hearing on new CVS Pharmacy
The Upper St. Clair board of commissioners agreed at the March 30 meeting to hold a public hearing on May 4 to review an application for a CVS Pharmacy planned to be built in the 1730 block of Washington Road. The application was filed by H. Brian Peck Family Holding, LLC.
The board will also convene a public hearing on April 6 to review zoning ordinances to allow distributed antenna systems (DAS), which is a way to deal with isolated spots of poor cellular or Internet coverage inside a large building by installing a network of relatively small antennas throughout the building to serve as repeaters.
In other business, assistant township manager Mark Mansfield reported to the board the township will save $175,000 in debt reduction by refinancing bonds. He also said the township is applying for a $200,000 grant to expand trails surrounding the Morton Field complex in Boyce-Mayview Park by 1.5 miles.
