BETHEL PARK
Retail theft: Police arrested Angela Kelly, 30, of Pittsburgh, and Michael Maxwell, 30, of Pittsburgh, for retail theft March 26 at Victoria’s Secret at South Hills Village Mall.
Animal cruelty: Police served a warrant for animal cruelty charges to Eric Fenton, 47, of Bethel Park. Police said a cat was left outside and discovered deceased by Fenton’s mother.
BRIDGEVILLE
Charged: William Burns III, 34, of Bridgeville was charged Feb. 4 with forgery, insurance fraud, identity theft and two counts of prohibited acts following a police investigation into fraudulent prescriptions being passed at Rite Aid in Bridgeville.
Charged: Police charged Sharif Barnes, 24, of Philadelphia Feb. 13 with forgery and two counts of criminal contempt for passing two forged prescriptions at Rite Aid, 417 Chartiers Street.
Arrested: Aaron Lynch, 19, of Washington, was charged Feb. 26 with underage consumption and possession of alcohol in the 700 block of Chess Street in Bridgeville.
DUI: Michael Mulig, 43, of Mt. Lebanon was charged with two counts of DUI and reckless driving following a Feb. 28 traffic accident at the intersection of Washington Avenue and Bower Hill Road.
Public intoxication: Randy Thompson, 48, of Bridgeville told police he wanted to be arrested for being drunk March 3. Police said Thompson was intoxicated and involved in disturbances earlier in the day. He was arrested and jailed until he became sober.
DUI: Tracy Houck, 33, of Oakdale was arrested March 15 in the 200 block of Prestley Road and charged with DUI and a summary traffic violation.
Drug paraphernalia: Police arrested Brett Jenkins, 24, of Bridgeville for possession of drug paraphernalia March 13 in the 200 block of Patterson Avenue. Jenkins was taken to the Allegheny County Jail.
Criminal trespass: Wanda Balukas, 54, of Bridgeville, was found inside of a condemned house in the 1220 block of Union Street March 15. She was charged with criminal trespass.
CASTLE SHANNON
Drug violations: Two men, Marcus Williams, 18, of 2526 Bethel Church Road, Bethel Park, and Jeffrey Noel, 18, of 5855 Irishtown Road, Bethel Park, and a 15-year-old male were arrested in the 3900 block of Library Road March 21 for drug violations.
DUI: Susan Zubasic, 54, of 1891 Ridge Road, Library, was arrested March 22 in the 4000 block of Library Road for DUI.
Public drunkenness: Paul Lewandowski, 45, of 446 Hoodridge Drive, Pittsburgh, was arrested March 24 on Baldwin Street for public drunkenness.
Simple assault: Police arrested Daniel Golebie, 20, of 1228 Clara Street, Pittsburgh, March 24 on Clara Street for simple assault.
Warrant issued: A warrant for simple assault was issued March 24 for Roman Bazhutin, 31, of 3735 Myrtle Avenue, Pittsburgh.
CECIL TOWNSHIP
Heater taken: Police said a 50-gallon water heater and expansion tank were reported missing March 27 from a home under construction at 1022 Oakbrook Drive, Canonsburg.
MT. LEBANON
Drugs and paraphernalia: Joshua Staab, 25, of 1424 Dormont Ave., Pittsburgh, was charged March 19 for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia on McFarland Road.
Public drunkenness: Jason Aul, 28, of Dallas, Texas, was cited March 21 for public drunkenness on Washington Road. He was arrested March 22 for defiant trespass and disorderly conduct on Washington Road.
Disorderly conduct: Juliana Aul, 28, of 839 Kenmore Road, Chapel Hill, N.C. was arrested March 22 for disorderly conduct and public drunkenness on Washington Road.
Simple assault: Katherine Deneke, 37, of 42 Academy Ave., Apt 1, Pittsburgh, was charged with simple assault March 23 on Academy Avenue.
DUI: Donald Prosser, 34, of 526 Hillcrest Place, Pittsburgh, was charged March 21 with DUI on Parker Drive.
Simple assault and harassment: Police arrested Ronald Bonner, 54, of 528 Altoona Place, Pittsburgh, on March 24 for simple assault and harassment.
PETERS TOWNSHIP
Car accident: Police are investigating a one-car accident that occurred March 24 in the westbound lane of East McMurray Road. According to reports, a car driven by Brent M. Paladino, 25, of Bebout Road, Venetia, reportedly swerved to avoid a deer. The car went up on an embankment, flipped and ended up on its roof. Both Paladino and Hobart J. Moore Jr., 23, of Pineview Drive, were taken to Canonsburg Hospital for treatment. According to reports, police detected the odor of alcohol on Paladino, who consented to a blood test. The incident remains under investigation.
Two-vehicle accident: One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident that took place March 24 at the intersection of Washington Road and Gateshead Drive. According to reports, Oluwaseun Sewanu Euler Ajayi, 45, of West College Street, Canonsburg, was stopped at the intersection when he was hit from behind by a vehicle driven by Stephen Seftchick, 32, of Fairgreen Drive, Pittsburgh. Euler-Ajayi complained of right shoulder and back pain and was taken to Canonsburg Hospital.
Criminal mischief: Five metal gates used to control the access to property located in the 500 block of McClelland Road, Finleyville, were damaged March 23. Value of the five gates is $1,800. The incident remains under investigation.
Theft: A bald, clean-shaven black male entered the Giant Eagle in the 4700 block of Washington Road March 24 and purchased a small item with a $100 bill at the store’s service center. According to reports, he asked the clerk for change several times before finally being asked to leave. The drawer was then balanced, and was discovered to be $50 short. A similar incident took place at the store March 13, when the service center’s register came up $100 short. Police said there have been reports of similar incidents at other Giant Eagle stores.
Simple assault: Police arrested Thomas Mansmann, 54, of Brookledge Road, Bridgeville, March 26 for simple assault. According to reports, Mansmann was at Panera Bread, 4127 Washington Road, for a court-ordered child transfer. He apparently became upset and a 9-year-old boy jumped out of the car and ran north toward Jersey Mike’s. Mansmann ran after the child and pushed him down and began dragging him by the leg, according to witnesses. Mansmann fled the scene and later turned himself in to police.
SOUTH FAYETTE
Search warrant: Police, armed with a search warrant, found drugs and drug paraphernalia March 20 in a home on the 100 block McVey Street in Sturgeon. The incident remains under investigation.
UPPER ST. CLAIR
Criminal mischief: Someone with a BB gun on March 27 shot holes in the front door, kitchen window and bay window of a home under construction in the 3300 clock of Comanche Road.
