Peters bank robbery suspect arrested

The man who allegedly robbed the cfsbank branch, 622 E. McMurray Road, Peters Township, this afternoon has been apprehended in Jefferson Hills.
According to Peters Township police Chief Harry Fruecht, the man, whose name has not been released, walked into the bank at 1:28 p.m. and slipped a note to the teller demanding money.
He was arrested in Jefferson Hills with the assistance of other police departments after a police cruiser followed his vehicle as it traveled up Route 51, and he will be transported back to Peters Township.
His vehicle is also being towed back to Peters, as it contains the money from the robbery. The FBI is also joining in the investigation.
