Mr. and Mrs. John Hanrahan of Chester Springs, Pa., announce the engagement of their daughter, Michelle Erin, to Peter Aleksandr, son of Donald and Tiffany Kaminski of Scott Township.

The future bride is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh. She works at The Innovation Center of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center as a project coordinator.

Her fiance graduated from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and works at Life Cycle Engineering as a hull, mechanical and electrical engineer.

The couple was engaged on Dec. 6, 2014. An October wedding is planned in Chester Springs.

The couple will make their home in Pittsburgh.
