South Fayette mulling potential tax increase

The South Fayette school board is considering a $49 million spending budget for the 2015-16 that could raise property taxes by $90 for homes valued at $100,000. The proposed millage hike of .9 would bring the rate to 26.1. The board voted at its May 19 committee meeting to approve a preliminary final budget that may change before the final vote due on June 30.
