‘The Best Christmas Pageant Ever’

Get ready for hilarious holiday mayhem when Little Lake Theatre Company presents Barbara Robinson’s “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever,” a sidesplitting Christmas comedy that is sure to get the whole family into the spirit of the season.

“This show is full of laughs and holiday madness, and it’s a wonderful way for families to kick off the Christmas season together,” said Artistic Director Roxy MtJoy, who is also the director of the upcoming production.

“The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” is a tale of the Herdman Family, whose kids were without a doubt the worst children in the history of the world. They lie and steal, smoke cigars (even the girls), talk dirty, hit little kids, cuss their teachers and take the Lord’s name in vain. They even set fire to Fred Shoemaker’s old broken down toolhouse. When these horrendous hooligans invade a local church’s annual Christmas Pageant, chaos is quick to ensue. Luckily, the misadventures of the Herdman Family also bring about a delightful opportunity to rediscover and celebrate the true meaning of Christmas.

Performances take place at 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays, Dec. 9 and 16, and at 1:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, Dec. 5, 6, 12, 13 and 19.
