This family-friendly event will include non-stop entertainment by the Hamilton Praise Band, Hot Metal Brass Band, Ray Cygrymus and the Tuesday Night Big Band. A live chainsaw artist will be on hand as will the Shriner Clowns, Al-Mazing the magician and his 6-foot ostrich puppet, and Mr. Bill’s Petting Zoo. There will be handmade crafts, seasonal food and drink, direct-sales merchandise, farm goods and more.

At Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church, Mt. Lebanon, The Ladies Philoptochos Society will hold its Autumn Food Fair and Yiayia Joan’s Attic 11:30 a.m.-8 p.m. Oct. 7-9 in the Community Center. Enjoy Greek favorites such as moussaka, tiropita, spanakopita, pastitsio, rice pudding, soups and more. A bake sale will feature Greek pastries, pies, cakes, jams, nuts, candies and a variety of breads. No fax, phone or online ordering. Takeout is available in the Community Center food line. At St. Louise de Marillac Parish, Upper St. Clair, the seven-week series “Discovering Christ” will run Oct. 7-Nov. 18, with a retreat scheduled on Nov. 7. The program helps participants enter into or renew a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
