Oktoberfest pairs brews with elaborate tasting menu

Penn Oktoberfest
Palazzo 1837 Ristorante, Washington, will host Penn Oktoberfest 2015 Beer Dinners at 7 p.m. Sept. 30 and Oct. 7, featuring six old-world German beers paired with six Penn Brewery micro brews of the same style with an elaborate tasting menu.
The menu will include Penn Gold Helles Lager and Augensteiner Helles Lager with Imported Bavarian Laugen Pretzel and Honey-Dijon Cream; Penn Kaiser Pilsner and Bitburger Pilsner with Beechwood Smoked Westphalian Ham, Emmentaler Swiss, and fresh Lingonberry-Walnut Chutney; Penn Weizen and Weihenstephaner Hefe-Weizen with House-made Caramelized Onion and Raclette Swizz Spaetzle; Penn Oktoberfest and Spaten Marzen Oktoberfest with freshly butchered Knackwurst, Bratwurst and House-made Sauerkraut; Penn Dark Dunkel and Warsteiner Dunkel with Rahm Schnitzel sauteed Pork Cutlets finished in a Hen of the Woods Mushroom Cream Sauce; and Penn Mai-Bock and Einbecker Mai-Ur-Bock with Bienenstich Bee Sting Cake.
