AIC meets
The Adult Interest Center at Southminster Presbyterian Church, Mt. Lebanon, offers entertainment, information, fellowship and a meal for active, older adults. Programs are held at 11 a.m. Fridays, September through June, and are free and open to the public. Lunch is served at noon for $6; reservations are not necessary. Medicare seminar
Baptist Homes Society, Castle Shannon, will hold a Medicare Open Enrollment Information Session at 10 a.m. Sept. 30 in Baptist Homes Activity Room. Seniors in the Sukkah
Chabad of the South Hills, Mt. Lebanon, will hold Seniors in the Sukkah at noon on Oct. 1. Shake the Lulav and Etrog and enjoy sandwiches, music and a special holiday program. Suggested donation is $5. Wheelchair accessible. To preregister, call Barb at 412-278-2658.
Day trip

Senior fair
Rep. Dan Miller’s (D-Mt. Lebanon) Senior Fair 2015 will take place 9 a.m.-noon Oct. 1 at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church, Mt. Lebanon. In addition to exhibitors from local, state and federal government offices and local service providers and businesses, the event will include flu shots (with Medicare or insurance card), health screenings, giveaways, door prizes and light refreshments. Senior Expo
Rep. Mark Mustio (R-Allegheny) will host his 2015 Senior Expo 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 9 at the Sheraton Pittsburgh Hotel, Thorn Run Road, Moon Township. Meet with and obtain information from representatives of local, state, federal and nonprofit organizations who can answer questions on health care, insurance, nutrition, personal safety and more.
Flu and pneumonia shots will be provided by Rite Aid Pharmacy. Call 412-262-3780 to reserve a time. Those interested in receiving a flu or pneumonia shot should bring their Medicare information to the event.

Brookdale Mt. Lebanon (formerly The Devonshire Mt. Lebanon) will hold a Senior Health Fair 12:30 p.m.-3 p.m. Oct. 30 at the senior living center located on McNeilly Road. Weight loss

WWII Discussion Group
On Sept. 30, the World War II Discussion Group will meet 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the Peters Township Public Library.
Senior luncheon
Luncheons are held at the Community Recreation Center the second Wednesday of each month, from noon-2 p.m. Entertainment, a speaker or an interactive activity is provided. The event is free, but it is requested that attendees bring a covered dish or dessert to share. On Oct. 14, the event will include Medicare 101, Halloween Bingo and a costume contest.
