‘Altar Boyz’

South Fayette native Michael Greer stars as Luke in Pittsburgh CLO’s production of the hit off-Broadway musical comedy “Altar Boyz,” through Dec. 20 at the CLO Cabaret.

Matthew, Mark, Luke, Juan and Abraham are on a mission from above to put the “pop” back in piety, wooing legions of bingo hall and pancake breakfast fans throughout their “Raise the Praise” tour. Full of sharp parody, sinfully spectacular dancing and irreverent humor, this spoof about a heavenly boy band, featuring songs like “Girl You Make Me Wanna Wait” and “Jesus Called Me On My Cell Phone,” has received critical acclaim.
