Music for Mt. Lebanon

Music for Mt. Lebanon marks its 70th anniversary with a program set for 7:30 p.m. Oct. 3 at Southminster Presbyterian Church, Mt. Lebanon.

The concert will feature Alvin Zhu, an internationally recognized pianist who grew up in Mt. Lebanon and won first prize in Keynotes of Music for Mt. Lebanon’s Scholarship Competition. He has had acclaimed performances throughout the United States, Italy, France, China and Australia. Future concerts will include Jimmy Beaumont and the Skyliners on Nov. 7, the Dukes of Dixieland on Feb. 6, 2016, harpist Katherine Ventura and flutist Alena Lugovkina on March 5 and the Broadway Tenors on April 2.

On Dec. 5 of this year, Music for Mt. Lebanon will present a special benefit concert leading up to the 2016 Presidential Election that will feature Capitol Steps. The benefit concert will be held at the renovated Mt. Lebanon High School Auditorium.
