Lebo and Bethel to host marching band festivals this weekend

Two local high schools will host band festivals this weekend, the Mt. Lebanon High School Blue Devil Marching Band and the Bethel Park Marching Band.
Mt. Lebanon will present its 21st Annual Festival of Bands at 7 p.m. Oct. 3 at Mt. Lebanon Stadium, rain or shine. Other area bands performing include Allderdice, Brashear, Chartiers Valley, Cornell, Shaler and Westinghouse high schools. There will also be special performances by The Mt. Lebanon Drum and Frontline, and the Mt. Lebanon Eighth Grade Band. Tickets will be available at the gate for $7 or in advance from any band member for the pre-sale price of $6. The Bethel Park Marching Band Festival will take place at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 3 at the high school stadium. Performing will be marching bands from Upper St. Clair, Trinity, Franklin Regional and Chartiers Valley high schools, as well as the Bethel Park High School Black Hawk Marching Band, the Bethel Park High School Ninth-Grade Concert Band and the Bethel Park High School Drum Line. Tickets are $3 if purchased in advance from any marching band member or $6 at the gate the night of the festival.
