Speaker’s Platform to feature renowned war crimes investigator
April 17
Speaker’s Platform
Renowned war crimes investigator Dr. John R. Cencich will speak at 11 a.m. April 17 at St. Gregory Byzantine Catholic Church, Upper St. Clair, concerning his lifetime career of leading investigations of crimes against humanity. He is the first speaker in the newly established “Speaker’s Platform” sponsored by St. Gregory’s Library Ministry.
Cencich is the author of “The Devil’s Garden: A War Crimes Investigator’s Story.” In it, he shares his work as an American investigator at The Hague in 2002, resulting in the indictment of Slobodan Miloševic and 15 others who were co-perpetrators of crimes against humanity including the massacre of thousands of civilians in Croatia.
Recently, he cohosted the History Chanel’s eight episode mini-series “Hunting Hitler” in which Cencich shares the exploration and discoveries that are leading to the change of presently held facts concerning this era in history.
This “Speakers Platform” presentation will be held in the church hall and is free and open to the public. A Q&A will follow the presentation.
