Bocce Tournament/Festival

The Senator John Heinz History Center’s Seventh Annual Bocce Tournament & Festival will take place from noon to 6 p.m. Aug. 13, under the Veterans Bridge overpass, adjacent to the History Center.

More than 35 four-person teams will showcase their bocce skills while visitors enjoy Italian food, beverages, music and more. Italian fare will be provided from The Common Plea, including Italian beef sandwiches, porchetta, pizza (made on site), beans & greens, eggplant parmigiana, spumoni, gelato and more. Admission is free for spectators and includes live music by The Faiellas, Pure Gold and The Nied’s Hotel Band. Proceeds from the Bocce Tournament & Festival benefit the History Center’s Italian American Program, which is dedicated to preserving the history and culture of Italian Americans in Western Pennsylvania.
