Trolley museum offers park ‘n’ ride service to county fair

Trolley service to Washington County Fair
The Pennsylvania Trolley Museum invites the public to its annual Park ‘N’ Ride event.
Through Aug. 20, the museum will shuttle guests from the Eaton Crouse-Hinds parking lot at 2800 N. Main St. to the fair from 10 a.m. to midnight. At the museum’s main location of 1 Museum Road, across from the fairgrounds, visitors can purchase Park ‘N’ Ride tickets or regular admission tickets to the museum. Trolleys will depart from their stations every 15 minutes, and tickets are good for multiple trips throughout the day of purchase. Those riding the trolley to the fair pay $3 per person and, children under age 5 arefree. The fee does not include admission to the museum, which is $10 for adults, $9 for seniors (62 and older) and $7 per child (3-15). Regular admission includes museum exhibits, a film on the Trolley Era and guided tours of some of the museum’s trolleys. The museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, with the last tour leaving at 3.
New this year, the Washington County Fair also will have a ticket table set up at the Eaton Parking Lot location from 5 to 8 p.m. Visitors will be able to purchase their $10 tickets to the fair and trolley tickets all in one location. On Aug. 15, the fair is free all day for adults 62 and older.
