Retail theft: Loss prevention officers at Macy’s in South Hills Village called police for assistance Aug. 15 with a reported shoplifter they were trying to apprehend. Kimberly Johnson, 59, of Pittsburgh was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Allegheny County Jail, according to police.
Castle Shannon
Harrassment and stalking: Police arrested Rodney Firanski, 51, no permanent address, on Aug. 14 for stalking, harassment and threats on the 3500 block of Library Road, police said.
Mt. Lebanon
Loitering and prowling: Harris Grzech, 24, of 202 Bower Hill Road, Apartment 2, was arrested Aug. 8 for loitering and prowling at night, along with criminal trespassing and theft on Bower Hill Road, according to reports.
Stalking and harassment: On Aug. 10, police arrested Jon Sinka, 32, of 1839 Fourth Ave., New Kensington, on Carnegie Drive. Sinka was charged with stalking, harassment, disorderly conduct and defiant trespass, police said.
South Fayette
Handgun taken: Someone broke into a vehicle parked in the 100 block of Woodlawn Avenue and took an American Tactical .45-caliber handgun. Police did not disclose the value of the gun.
Upper St. Clair
Retail theft: Police are looking for two unidentified white males, either in their late 20s or early 30s, who took five boxes of Crest White Strips valued at $275 on Aug. 19 from Target at South Hills Village Mall.
Man arrested: Police arrested Evan Teyssier, 23, of Ignatius Street, Carnegie, on Aug. 16 and charged him with retail theft and criminal conspiracy. According to reports, Teyssier and an unidentified man took four boxes of Crest White Strips from Target at South Hills Village Mall. The incident is under investigation.
