Shadyside welcomes back popular summer art festival

Shadyside … The Art Festival on Walnut Street
Festival producer Howard Alan Events returns to Shadyside this summer with creative artists from all over the country for its annual art festival on Walnut Street, Aug. 27-28.
This popular two-day event is hosted by the Shadyside Chamber of Commerce and will feature an eclectic mix of original artwork, from traditional to contemporary, whimsical, functional and everything in between. Admission is free.
The artists will line their booths along Walnut Street between South Aiken and South Negley avenues. The show will include an array of artistic media, such as paintings, sculptures, photography, ceramics, glass, wood, handmade jewelry, collage and mixed media.
Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
