South Fayette police investigating string of thefts from vehicles

South Fayette Township Police Department is continuing to investigate a recent string of thefts from vehicles that began over the past weekend.
According to township police Chief John Phoennik, four incidents were reported, primarily around the Gladden area of the township.
All four vehicles were unlocked. Belongings were taken from two the vehicles, including a firearm.
“If it’s something of any kind of value, they take it,” Phoennik said.
The police department is reminding residents to lock their parked cars to take precaution from becoming a victim.
