A Bethel Park man accused last month of sending sexually explicit messages and photos online to a person he thought was a teenage boy waived all charges to court before his Dec. 5 preliminary hearing.

Daniel N. Menozzi, 59, of Milford Drive, was arrested by the state Attorney General’s office Nov. 27 and charged with seven counts each of unlawful contact with a minor and disseminating explicit sexual material, along with one charged of illegal use of a communications device, all felonies.

Investigators said Menozzi made contact with the person he thought was a 14-year-old boy that was actually an undercover agent working for the attorney general’s Child Predator unit. Menozzi allegedly send multiple messages and photos that were sexual in nature to the undercover agent, which later were found on his cell phone during a search of his Bethel Park home, investigations said.

Menozzi was one of 10 men charged last month in the undercover operation, including eight in Allegheny County, investigators said.

Menozzi is free on bond as he awaits his Jan. 26 formal arraignment on the charges in Allegheny County Court.
