An American in Paris

The 105-member Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Francesco Lecce-Chong, will present An American in Paris at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 14 at Heinz Hall.

After opening with Verdi’s “Overture to La Forza del Destino,” PSO violist Meng Wang and PSO violinist Zhan Shu will join the orchestra for Mozart’s “Sinfonia Concertante K. 364.”

The second half of the program will open with Samuel Barber’s moving “Adagio for Strings,” followed by one of George Gershwin’s most popular scores and an audience favorite, “An American in Paris.”

While the concert is free, tickets are required for admission.
