Brucker – Turgeon

William and Anne Brucker of Bethel Park announce the engagement of their daughter, Dr. Brenna Marie Brucker, to Mr. Erik Edward Turgeon, son of Edward and Linnea Turgeon of Kingston, R.I.
Brenna is the granddaughter of the late Fred and Patricia Wallisch of Baldwin and the late William and Sarah Elizabeth Brucker of Brentwood.
Erik’s grandparents are the late Joseph and Anne Turgeon of Warwick, R.I., and the late Phillip and Joan Larson of Newport, R.I.
The future bride is a 2005 graduate of Bethel Park High School, where she was named valedictorian. She was voted the best scholar athlete in the country in 2004 and was awarded the Wendy’s High School Heisman. She was also named to the USA Today First Academic Team. She graduated in 2009 from Brown University, where she served four years as president of the Brown Intercollegiate Trap and Skeet Team. She was also the college mascot, “Bruno” the Brown Bear. In 2013 she graduated from Brown University Medical School. There, she was named the top scholar in geriatric research and medical care. Brenna currently is on the board of directors for an educational nonprofit, and is an emergency medicine physician at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn.
Her fiance is a 2005 graduate of East Greenwich High School, where he was an all-state football lineman. He was also an Eagle Scout. In 2011, he completed a six-year Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the University of Rhode Island, one of the nation’s top pharmacy schools. He then was employed at The Miriam Hospital in Providence, R.I., where he oversaw its investigational drug service. Erik now works as an investigational oncology clinical pharmacist at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
A July wedding is planned in Pittsburgh.
