Holmes – McDeavitt
Amanda Holmes of Bridgeville and Mark McDeavitt Jr. of West Sunbury, Pa., announce their engagement.
Amanda is the daughter of Ron and Maria Holmes of Bridgeville, and the granddaughter of the late Harry and Mary Anne Holmes of Manor, Pa., and Frank and the late Laura Perez of Martins Ferry, Ohio.
Mark is the son of Mark and Jill McDeavitt of West Sunbury, and the grandson of the late Robert and Flora Jean McDeavitt of Slippery Rock, and the late Rev. Lloyd and Phyllis Tennies of Boyers/Sigel/Eau Claire, Pa.
The future bride is a 2011 graduate of South Fayette High School and Duquesne University, where she earned her Bachelor’s in Biology in 2015 and Master’s in Secondary Education in 2016. She is currently completing student teaching at Canon-McMillan High School.
The future groom is a 2010 graduate of Moniteau High School. He is a fourth-year apprentice for Steamfitters-Local 449 in Pittsburgh.
A fall 2017 wedding is planned.
