Bethel Park

Scam alert: Bethel Park police said they have received reports of people following Fed Ex trucks and walking up to front doors once the packages have been delivered. When confronted by homeowners, the individuals say they are with Kirby Vacuum. Descriptions have varied from four black males to two white females. Please report any suspicious activity to 412-833-2000 ext. 911.

Warrant and drug violations: While serving an arrest warrant on Shane McGinnis, 23, of Bethel Park, on Jan. 4, police discovered drug paraphernalia and filed additional charges.

Credit fraud: Police are investigating a Jan. 9 claim from a resident of Old Village Lane who said there was $3,000 worth of fraudulent activity on her Visa card.

Castle Shannon

Simple assault: Dhaka Bhattarai, 36, of 444 Hoodridge Drive, was arrested Jan. 1 on Hoodridge Drive and charged with simple assault, according to reports.

Drug violations: Vanessa Delavega, 34, of 464 Morrison Drive, Pittsburgh, was arrested in the 3700 block of Library Road Jan. 6 and charged with drug violations, police said.

Cecil Township

Gun threat: Lisa R. Oliver, 41, was charged by township police with making terroristic threats, theft, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness, court records show. She is accused of stealing a wallet from a woman and then threatening to shoot and kill everyone at 72 Maple Street, Muse, about 1 a.m. Jan. 1. She is in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond set by District Judge Mark Wilson.

Trailer stolen: A 12-foot Carry On trailer valued at $3,000 was reported missing Jan. 10 from the front yard of Mark Maiolie, 283 Fawcett Church Road, Bridgeville, police said.

Warrant arrest: Michelle Spalvieri, 47, of 453 Cherry Hills Drive, Bridgeville, who was a passenger in a car that was stopped on a routine traffic stop on Morganza Road Jan. 9, was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Washington County. Police also charged Spalvieri with possession of a small amount of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Mt. Lebanon

Stolen property: Charles Kunsman, 27; James Maver, 52, and Karen Grimes, 55, all of 840 Freeling Drive, Pittsburgh, were arrested Dec. 29 on Washington Road. According to reports, Kunsman was charged with receiving stolen property, conspiracy and driving without a license. Maver was charged with receiving stolen property and conspiracy, and Grimes had an outstanding arrest report.

Accident charge: Robert Rocks, 49, of 1533 Allison Drive, Pittsburgh, was charged Dec. 11 with accidents involving an attended vehicle on Gilkeson Road, police said.

South Fayette

Device fraud: Police charged April McCutheon, 32, of 647 Miller’s Run Road Jan. 8 with device fraud. According to reports, McCutheon used her mother’s credit card Dec. 27 without permission.
