The 26th annual Mt. Lebanon Public Library Garden Tour kicked off with a garden party July 9 to recognize sponsors, donors and featured gardeners.
The party was held in the libray and its courtyard, which featured many plants and flowers from Russian sage to hydrangeas. Four residential homes as well as Foster Elementary School and Rose Court Condominiums were highlighted on the July 10 garden tour.
Kathy Mays and Beth Evans chaired the tour, and Mays was recognized for 17 years of volunteer service. She received an engraved stone to place in her garden. David McKibben was the the garden tour manager, and Linda Binek, Jane Ann Broeren, Normajean Graybill served as tour committee members. Broeren and Sandi David chaired the garden party.
Proceeds from the events benefit the library.
