Bethel Park
Theft from vehicle: Residents of Highfield Court and Cork Drive on July 18 reported wallets and cash taken from their vehicles overnight. The incident remains under investigation, according to police.
Retail theft: Police said they arrested Brittany Amarri Savage, 25, of Pittsburgh on July 18 for shoplifting at Macy’s at South Hills Village Mall. Savage is charged with felony retail theft and has an outstanding warrant. She was taken to the Allegheny County Jail, police said.
Retail theft: Police assisted loss prevention officers at Giant Eagle Market District on July 18 with a suspected shoplifter, Kristopher Ward, 36, of Bethel Park, who was in custody, according to police. Ward was released and will be prosecuted privately, police said.
Castle Shannon
Drug violations: Robert Miske, 28, of 1000 Vermont Ave., Castle Shannon, was arrested July 16 on Mt.Lebanon Boulevard for drug violations, reports said.
Burglary and criminal mischief: Rodney Firanski, 51, no permanent address, was arrested by police July 17 on Sleepy Hollow Road. Police said Firanski was charged with burglary and criminal mischief.
Burglary and theft: Police arrested Jared McAllister, 41, of 1013 Thornwood Drive, Castle Shannon, July 17 on Castle Shannon Boulevard on charges of burglary and theft, according to reports.
Outstanding warrants: Jessica Nease, 26, of 29 Woodville Avenue, West End, was arrested July 19 on Sleepy Hollow Road for outstanding warrants from another agency, police said.
Mt. Lebanon
Stolen property: Police arrested Javonie Averytt, 45, of 647 Paulson Ave., Larimer, and Tracy Freeman, 45, of 1413 Beldale St., Manchester, July 14 on Washington Road. According to reports, Averytt was charged with receiving stolen property, fleeing and eluding police, recklessly endangering another person, escape and showing false identification to law enforcement officers. Freeman was charged with hindering apprehension, police said.
Peters Township
Retail theft: Police said two teenage boys took two boxes of sushi valued at about $20 from Giant Eagle at Donaldson’s Crossroads on July 21. The incident remains under investigation.
Drug possession: Two Canonsburg men were stopped July 23 for speeding in the 400 block of Turkeyfoot Road in Venetia. According to reports, when a police officer walked up to the vehicle, he smelled the odor of marijuana. Jael Antonia Nieves-Santana, 34, who was the driver, was charged with speeding, possession of a small amount of marijuana and driving with a suspended license, police said. The passenger, Carlos Ivan Barreto Rivera, 44, was charged with possessing a small amount of marijuana, according to reports.
Drug possession: Police will charge via summons Steele Schindler, 19, of New Eagle with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Police said they stopped Schindler in the 4100 block of Washington Road during a July 22 during a DUI checkpoint, reports said.
Saw taken: A table saw valued at $500 was reported missing July 25 from an unsecured house under construction in the 400 block of Rutledge Drive, police said.
Upper St. Clair
Retail theft: Cynthia Lee, 47, of Pittsburgh was charged with retail theft after taking $600 worth of merchandise from Target at South Hills Village Mall on July 23, according to police. Also arrested and charged with retail theft was Dana Bruno, 41, of Pittsburgh, who attempted to flee the scene with $100 worth of merchandise from Target, police said.
