Bethel Park
Retail theft: Shop ‘n Save on Library Road contacted police June 10 for assistance with two shoplifters. Police arrested Lacy Berman, 25, of Castle Shannon and Alexander Kaufman, 31, of Pittsburgh on charges of retail theft, conspiracy, possession and related drug charges. Both suspects were taken to the Allegheny County Jail, police said.
Drug offenses: Police arrested Kristina Avellino, 24, and Thomas Socko, 23, both of Niagara Falls, N.Y., on June 11 in the parking lot of Eagle Nook Apartments, 7000 Helen St. Both suspects are charged with possession of drugs and face other related charges, according to police. They were taken to the Allegheny County Jail.
Castle Shannon
Simple assault: Bikash Khadka, 30, a resident of Hoodridge Drive, was arrested June 3 on Hoodridge Drive and charged with simple assault, according to reports.
Two charged: Police charged Brian Jacobs, 31 of Homestead, and Brian Troiano, 30, of Canonsburg June 5 with drug violations, police said.

Drugs and paraphernalia: April Redmon, 34, of 6346 Centre Ave., Apartment 103, East Liberty, was arrested June 1 on Academy Avenue and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, according to police.
Bench warrant: Gary Heller, 56, of 1032 Clemmersmill Road, Schwenksville, Montgomery County, was arrested June 3 on Washington Road on a bench warrant out of Dauphin County, police said.
Drug paraphernalia: Police arrested Myers Williams, 24, of 3313 Bookman Avenue, Apartment A, Brentwood, June 5 on Connor Road and charged him with possession of drug paraphernalia and having an expired inspection, according to reports.
Peters Township
Two-vehicle accident: No one was hurt, but one vehicle had to be towed following a two-vehicle accident June 8 in the 4000 block of Washington Road. According to police, Devon Strimel, 27, of Houston, was southbound on Washington Road when her vehicle struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Arthur Schwotzer, 89, of Peters Township. Strimel’s vehicle had to be towed from the scene, police said.
Vehicle towed: No one was hurt, but one car had to be towed following a two-vehicle accident that occurred June 10 at the intersection of Washington Road and the Valley Brook Road entrance ramp. Police said Ryha el-Attrache of Mt. Pleasant was northbound on Washington Road, and her vehicle struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Maureen Sekara of Avalon. According to police, el-Attrache’s vehicle had to be towed from the scene.
