At the Anglican Parish of Christ the Redeemer, Canonsburg, services featuring informal Holy Communion, children’s Christian education and nursery care are held at 5 p.m. Saturdays. On Sundays, traditional liturgy featuring hymns and praise, Children’s Christian education and nursery care take place at 9:30 a.m.
At Christ United Methodist Church, Bethel Park, Visiting Youth Choir Concert will be held at 7 p.m. June 23. The youth choir from Grove United Methodist Church in West Chester, Pa., will perform a mix of traditional and contemporary Christian songs.
• Annual Pet Fair, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. June 25. Sponsored by Hearts and Paws Pet Ministry, the fair will be held for the first time on the grounds of South Park at Agricultural Hall (near the amphitheater). This 13th annual fair will feature more than 50 booths and pets for adoption, a variety of pet products and services, several pet-related demonstrations and more.

At Macedonia Church of Pittsburgh, the third annual Prayer Walk will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 25 at various locations throughout the Hill District, including Sugar Top, Oak Hill and Skyview as well as the Bedford, Centre, Wylie and Webster avenue corridors. This event is designed for the ministry to provide hope to the community by showing the love and compassion of God. Approximately 6 miles will be walked during the event by hundreds of Macedonia members. During the event, church members and leaders will walk various routes throughout the Hill District community, praying block by block, engaging the local community in the spiritual transformation of the neighborhood. The annual Prayer Walk is made possible through the generous support of Macedonia members (through tithes and offerings). At Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church, a free community barbecue to celebrate summer will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. June 24. The event is free, but donations are gratefully accepted. A varied Carolina-style barbecue menu will include ribs, pulled pork, chicken, mac and cheese, coleslaw and desserts. An open table with Communion will be offered.
