Whole Foods the definition of ugly
In the March 2 Almanac, a reader sent a letter concerning the Whole Foods building (and I use that tem very loosely) that is being built (and built and built and built) on Route 19 at the former CONSOL Site.
I went to the dictionary to find the definition of ugly. The various meanings describe this absolutely horrendous looking building to a T: “Unpleasant; Repulsive, especially in appearance; Frightful; dire; offensive.”
Wow, do these definitions fit this monstrosity perfectly. I don’t believe that you could build an uglier building if you had an ugly competition. Whoever designed this obviously has won numerous ugly architectural awards.
As a side note to the developers of this area, I certainly hope that this is not typical of what you are going to develop on the rest of this property. If it is, you should run with your money and hide. Or better yet, since it is so scary looking maybe you could open it as a Halloween attraction and make more money by scaring people on a tour.
Also, if it is taking Whole Foods this long to build this at such an expense, they will most likely be charging exorbitant amounts of money for their products to recoup the money invested. Think before you shop there. Do not support someone who is messing up a great township with ugly.
Also, I am checking to see if they will be using this as their address: Whole Foods, Route 19 and Ft. Couch Road, UGLY, St. Clair.
