Easter Egg Hunts: Week of March 16

At Christ United Methodist Church, Bethel Park, a Family Easter Celebration will be held 10-11:30 a.m. March 26. Early childhood through elementary-age children can participate in an egg hunt, activity stations, photo booth and more. At New Day Assembly of God, Upper St. Clair, an Easter egg hunt will be held 10 a.m.-noon March 19. There will also be games, prizes, inflatables and hot dogs.
At Peters Creek Evangelical Presbyterian Church, an Easter Sunday Family Celebration complete with egg hunt and brunch will take place 9:45-10:45 a.m. March 27 in the downstairs lobby of St. David’s Episcopal Church in Venetia. The event will also include refreshments, crafts and games. The celebration time will be followed by a special Easter Sunday worship service at 11. For more information, call 724-941-6210.
At Peters Township Parks and Recreation, a Bunny Hop & Egg Scramble will be held March 19.
• The Bunny Hop, for ages 10 and under, will take place 10 a.m.-noon at the Community Recreation Center at Peterswood Park, and include a visit with the Easter Bunny, games, crafts and more. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Preregistration is suggested. Fee is $5/resident and $7/non-resident. Volunteers are also needed.
• The Easter Egg Scramble will take place in Peterswood Park, near Shelter 4. Bring your own basket and hunt in appropriate age groups: ages 2 and under, 1 p.m.; ages 3-5, 1:15 p.m.; ages 6-9, 1:30 p.m. In case of inclement weather, the event will be held inside the Community Recreation Center. Fee is $5/resident and $8/non-resident (per child). Preregistration is required by March 11.

At South Fayette High School, the annual Community Breakfast with the Bunny, Parade and Egg Hunt will be held March 19 in the school’s food court. The breakfast begins at 9 a.m. and is $5/person; tickets are payable at the door. Admission includes a pancake breakfast, beverage, coloring book, treat and a visit with the Easter Bunny. The bunny will lead a parade at 11 a.m. from the front of the high school to the football stadium where the egg hunt will begin promptly at 11:15. A $1 donation is requested if not participating in the breakfast. Dress appropriately for the weather and bring your own basket. The community event is sponsored by the South Fayette School District, South Fayette Township and local businesses. All proceeds benefit students with special needs. At Sunset Hills United Presbyterian Church, located on Country Club Drive in Mt. Lebanon, a free community Easter egg hunt will be held 10 a.m.-noon March 19 for kids of all ages. The indoor egg hunt will be held in the church beginning at 10:30 a.m. There will also be crafts, face painting, refreshments and more. After the egg hunt, get your picture taken with the Easter Bunny. Easter baskets not needed; painted egg cartons will be available for kids to decorate and use for the hunt.
