Tartan Day event celebrates all things Scottish

Tartan Day

St. Andrew’s Society of Pittsburgh will hold its annual Tartan Day Celebration 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. April 9 at Bethel Presbyterian Church. This event is free admission and free parking. This family-oriented event will include bagpipe bands, fiddles, highland and country dancers, Celtic music and harpers, workshops, Scottish foods, Scottish vendors, Celtic jewelry, tartans, Scottish clans, children’s activities, genealogy, raffles and more.

Tartan Day is a national day to recognize the impact of the people of Scottish descent on our nation’s history. The event benefits the Tartan Day Scholarship Fund, which provides assistance for students of the Scottish arts.
