‘Picnic’

Performed on Broadway in 1953 and adapted into a motion picture starring William Holden and Kim Novak in 1955, the three-act play is set in a small town in Kansas. “Picnic” details the lives of “ordinary” Americans, from hopeful widows and an embittered spinster to idealistic teenagers and restless wanderers.
Tickets are $10 if purchased in advance online at www.bphp.org/xu35a or $12 at the door. Friday and Saturday performances are at 8 p.m., and Sunday matinees are at 2 p.m. Box office opens one-half hour before curtain.
