The Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra and Music Director Francesco Lecce-Chong will reach for the stars in their final concert of the season at Heinz Hall. “The Planets,” a free concert, will take place 7:30 p.m. May 22. Hannah Ishizaki, winner of the PYSO Conducting Competition, will lead fellow musicians in Prokofiev’s “March from The Love of Three Oranges.” Omri Barak, this year’s PYSO Concerto Competition and only the second trumpet musician to win the PYSO competition in over 60 years, will perform Tomasi’s “Concerto for Trumpet.” Holst’s popular and enchanting homage to astronomy and astrology, “The Planets,” will also be performed. The concert is free, but tickets are required for admission.
