Senior picnic
Peters Township Parks & Recreation Department holds picnics the second Wednesday of each month featuring entertainment, a speaker or interactive activity. Events are free, but guests are asked to bring a covered dish or dessert to share. The next picnic is planned from 4 to 6 p.m. June 8 at Shelter 4 in Peterswood Park. Arthritis exercise
Westminster Recreation and Outreach Center at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Upper St. Clair, will offer the Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program for seniors, 11:15 a.m.-noon Tuesdays, through May 31. This fun-filled, low-impact course helps increase joint flexibility, offers relief from arthritis pain and features gentle, joint-safe movements that can be adapted for various fitness levels. Seniors lunch
A Pre Shavuot Seniors Lunch will be held at noon on June 7 at Chabad of the South Hills, Mt. Lebanon. The event will include Shavout songs and a lesson on creating a floral fruit display. Suggested donation is $5. Wheelchair accessible. To register, call 412-278-2658.
Chair exercises
Chair Exercises for Seniors takes place at Scott Township Library from 11 a.m. to noon Tuesdays. Space is limited for the DVD-directed program. Preregister by calling 412-429-5380.
TOPS
Have fun and enjoy contests and speakers while losing weight at a reasonable price of $5/month with TOPS (Take off Weight Sensibly) Chapter #475.
