Educational series
Family Hospice and Palliative Care and Home Instead Senior Care will present the final program in an educational series titled “Approaching the Unapproachable: Finding Peace in Preparedness.” Presented by Scott Beinhauer of Beinhauer Family Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, and Ron Hestdalen, director of the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, “Honoring Those Who Served: Veterans’ Care and Assistance” will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Nov. 4. Fitness classes
Westminster Recreation and Outreach Center (WROC) at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Upper St. Clair, will offer the following for seniors ages 55 and older:
• Gentle Yoga Morning and Evening, from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesdays, Nov. 2-Dec. 14, and from 6 to 7 p.m. Mondays, through Dec. 12.
• Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program, 9:30 to 10:20 a.m. Mondays, and 10 to 10:50 a.m. Wednesdays, Nov. 2-Dec. 21. A fun-filled, low-impact course that helps most people with arthritis increase joint flexibility and find relief from arthritis pain.
• Strong Bones – Strong Bodies, 9 to 9:50 a.m. Wednesdays, Nov. 2-Dec. 21. Exercise physiologist Anne Brucker presents a gentle, joint-friendly OsteoDynamic program that strengthens the spine, rebuilds bone, teaches balance and reduces fractures.

Driver improvement
