Little Lake musical teaches kids to be true to themselves

Through Nov. 26
‘Fancy Nancy the Musical’
Little Lake Theatre, North Strabane, opens the Fall Family Matinee season with “Fancy Nancy the Musical.” When Madame Lucille announces the class performance of “Deep Sea Ballet,” Nancy assumes she will be cast as the fanciest sea creature of all–a mermaid. Through many twists and turns, it is clear that anyone can be fancy. Even her pal Lionel shines during his “Shark Rap.” Nancy and audiences learn together that you’ll always be a star by staying true to yourself and being a good friend.
Based on the beloved series of books by Jane O’Connor with illustrations by Robin Preiss Glasser, “Fancy Nancy the Musical” runs at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 5, 12, 13, 19 and 20. Special Thanksgiving weekend performances will be offered at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Nov. 26.
Tickets are $15.75 for adults and $13.75 for children 15 and under (processing fee included in price).
Sweet treat tea parties will take place on Saturdays, Nov. 5, 12 and 19 for an additional charge of $10.
Triple the fun and save big by purchasing a Fall Play Pass, which includes “Fancy Nancy the Musical,” “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” and “A Christmas Carol.” Parties of 20 or more pay a special rate.
