‘The Music Man’

Stage 62 presents Meredith Willson’s “The Music Man” Nov. 10-20 at the Andrew Carnegie Free Library & Music Hall located on Beechwood Avenue in Carnegie.

This classic, family-friendly, six-time TONY Award-winning musical comedy follows fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band he vows to organize despite the fact he doesn’t know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain’s fall.

An ice cream social will be held opening night, Nov. 12, following the show.

Hearing-assistive devices are available at all performances. STAGE 62 will also offer American Sign Language interpretation for both Sunday matinee performances.

Performances are at 8 p.m. Nov. 10-12 and 17-19, and 2 p.m. Nov. 13 and 20. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students and seniors.

To purchase tickets, call 412-429-6262 or visit www.stage62.com.
