Holiday Concert

Mt. Lebanon Public Library will present a musical soiree of klezmer, django, The Big Easy and some unusual holiday music at 7 p.m. Nov. 21. The evening features clarinetist/soprano saxophonist Susanne Ortner and guitar virtuoso John Marcinizyn.

German clarinetist Ortner is internationally acclaimed both as a soloist and as a member various chamber music, jazz and klezmer ensembles. She is equally conversant in jazz, klezmer and classical music.

Pittsburgh based guitarist, composer and banjoist Marcinizyn performs frequently with groups ranging from The Bach Choir of Pittsburgh to Billy Price. He is also a member of the jazz trio Acoustic Swing and Dixieland jazz band The Red Hot Ramblers. His versatility as an acoustic and electric guitarist allows him to perform in many styles including classical, jazz, flamenco, rock, blues and folk.

In addition to the music, guests will be treated to a holiday tea complete with scones, cookies and other goodies.

Cost is $10 (payable at the door) and seating is limited.
