Bethel Park

Tools missing: A resident of the 100 block of Spartan Drive told police Sept. 27 that several tools are missing from his garage. The incident is under investigation.

Theft and drugs: Police were called to Shop ‘n Save on Library Road Sept. 27 to assist with a retail theft suspect who was intoxicated. While checking the suspect’s vehicle, police discovered narcotics and a firearm that was not registered to him. Robert Caryll, 66, of Bethel Park was charged with retail theft, carrying a firearm without a license, public intoxication and possession. Caryll was taken to the Allegheny County Jail, according to reports.

Castle Shannon

Simple assault: Police sent Nicholas Slattery, 25, of 505 Dewey Ave., Bridgeville, a summons Sept. 25 for simple assault.

Theft citation: Melissa Noft, 39, of 1236 Prospect Ave., Pittsburgh, was cited Sept. 25 by police for the theft of a shopping cart, reports said.

Outstanding warrants: Jacob Dedo, 24, of 858 Main St., Pittsburgh, was arrested Sept. 26 on Library Road on outstanding warrant charges, according to reports.

Mt. Lebanon

Retail theft: Police arrested Brandon Buerkle, 34, of 2855 Espy Ave., Pittsburgh, on Sept. 21 on Cochran Road and charged him with retail theft.

Simple assault: Matthew Sunder, 32, of 301 Martin Ave., Pittsburgh, was charged with simple assault Sept. 23 on Martin Avenue, police said.

Forged documents: Christopher Biknius, 41, of 315 Maccasser Drive, Pittsburgh, was arrested by police Sept. 25 on Gilkeson Road and charged with altered or forged documents and driving while suspended, police said.

Controlled substance: On Sept. 26 on Ridgeview Avenue, police arrested Patrick Cullen, 26, of 502 Carriage Hill Drive, McMurray, and charged him with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, reports said.

Marijuana possession: Police arrested Bradley Huber, 25, of 123 Bower Hill Road, Venetia, on Sept. 24 on Washington Road and charged him with driving under the influence, driving while suspended and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Simple assault: Police arrested Joshua Copeland, 19, of 108 Newburn Drive, Apt. 7, Pittsburgh, on Sept. 24 on Newburn Drive and charged him with simple assault.

Disorderly conduct: On Sept. 20, police arrested Sandra Barber, 57, of 4800 Steubenville Pike, Kennedy Township, on Washington Road and charged her with harassment and disorderly conduct.

Peters Township

Cash taken: About $300 in cash was reported taken from two unsecured vehicles on Lintel Drive in McMurray on Sept. 27, police said. The incident remains under investigation.

South Fayette

Kidnapping and robbery: Police arrested D’Andre T. Garret, 29, of Pittsburgh and charged him with aggravated assault, kidnapping, robbery, conspiracy robbery threat, terroristic threats, unlawful restraint, simple assault and theft by unlawful taking. According to reports, Garret and another unidentified man picked up a Bridgeville man who is in his 30s and lives on Wheatland Circle on Alpine Road Sept. 30. Police said Garret and his companion robbed the man of $60, and took his cellphone and his red Puma tennis shoes. Police are still looking for the second assailant.
