‘LUV’ features blend of absurdist humor and good old-fashioned comedy

‘LUV’
Little Lake Theatre Company presents “LUV” by Murray Schisgal, through Oct. 15.
A man stands on a bridge ready to jump. Another fellow wanders by and immediately recognizes the man on the railing as his great old college chum, Harry Berlin. Soon, through the funniest of circumstances, Harry and Milt discover they are equally miserable. Enter Milt’s wife, Ellen, and within moments Milt foists Ellen upon Harry so that he can run off with another woman. This “LUV” triangle is an outrageous blend of absurdist humor and good old-fashioned comedy.
The theater welcomes back Sunny Disney Fitchett to direct this production. She served as Little Lake’s artistic director for 22 seasons before retiring.
“LUV” runs at 8 p.m. Oct. 6-8 and 13-15. Tickets are $18-$20 for adults and $12 for children.
