At Bethel Presbyterian Church, Trunk or Treat will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Oct. 29. At this free community offering of goodies and games, members will hand out Halloween snacks from their cars in the church parking lot on Bethel Church Road. Games are played in the gym just off the church parking lot.
At the Bible Chapel, Peters Township, comedian Tim Hawkins and special guest Bob Smiley will perform a family-friendly show from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. Nov. 4 at the South Hills campus. For tickets, visit the website.

At Christ the Redeemer Anglican Church, Canonsburg, services include a Saturday contemporary service of Holy Communion at 5 p.m., and a blended service of Holy Communion (traditional hymns, liturgy and praise music) at 9:30 a.m. Sunday. At Christ United Methodist Church, Bethel Park, indoor Trick or Treat will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 26. The evening begins with a WNAC dinner followed by trick or treating through the halls of the church. Adults, decorate a doorway or table and pass out treats to the children. At Crossroads Ministries, Finleyville, “Clubhouse Kids” runs from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. Wednesdays for children ages 3 through fifth grade. • Trunk-N-Treat, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 26, with parishioners handing out candy from the decorated trunks of their cars. The event will also include a bonfire for roasting marshmallows and making s’mores. Hot dogs and drinks will be available free of charge. Chilren must be accompanied by an adult. At Peters Creek Evangelical Presbyterian Church, a fall festival and pig roast will be held from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Oct. 22 at St. David’s Episcopal Church, East McMurray Road, Peters Township. The event will feature a basket raffle, caramel apple dipping, children’s activities including a bounce house, pig roast with homemade fries, coleslaw and fall desserts. At South Hills Assembly of God, Bethel Park, GriefShare, a bereavement support group, meets from 10 a.m. to noon or from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursdays, through Dec. 8. The Bible-based support group consists of DVD teaching followed by discussion and sharing with others. Join any time and return for any missed classes. Cost of $15 includes workbook.

At South Hills Church of the Nazarene, Bethel Park, the fall session of DivorceCare Support Group will meet from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursdays, through Dec. 15. DivorceCare features a video each week prior to discussion, with nationally recognized experts on divorce and recovery topics. Seminar sessions include “Facing My Anger,” “Facing My Loneliness,” “Depression,” “New Relationships,” “KidCare” and “Forgiveness.” Cost of $20 includes a workbook.
