Art show brings nature-inspired art to the Aviary

Wings & Wildlife Art Show
The Wings & Wildlife Art Show returns to the National Aviary Nov. 4-6, bringing a jury-selected array of nature-inspired art for Aviary visitors to enjoy and purchase. The Wings & Wildlife weekend kicks off with an opening night Soiree and Benefit Auction followed by a two-day show highlighting the work of more than 30 locally and nationally known artists from five states working in paint, photography, textiles, jewelry, metal, ceramics, paper, wood and more.
Photographer Dave DiCello, best known for his unique perspectives photographing the city of Pittsburgh, along with his creative eye for natural landscapes and animal photography, has been named this year’s featured artist. For Wings & Wildlife he will unveil a new series of work featuring the Rocky Mountains in Colorado.
The Wings & Wildlife Opening Soirée and Benefit Auction takes place from 6 to 10 p.m. Nov. 4. Tickets are $100 per person, and are available at www.showclix.com/event/WingsandWildlife or by contacting Ted Bartlett at 412-258-9441 or ted.bartlett@aviary.org.
The Wings & Wildlife Art Show takes place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 5 and 6, and is included in the general admission price of $14 for adults, and $13 for seniors and children ages 2-12.
