Castle Shannon
DUI, drug violations: Police reported that Michael Schmitz, 33, of 312 Squire Lane, Peters Township, was arrested Aug. 26 on Hoodridge Drive and charged with driving under the influence and drug violations.
DUI, drug violations: Police reported that Joseph Becker, 34, of 3250 McRoberts Road, Castle Shannon, was arrested Aug. 31 on Castle Shannon Boulevard and charged with driving under the influence and drug violations.
Mt. Lebanon
DUI, assault: Two Carrick residents were charged in an incident that occurred Aug. 26 on Washington Road. Police said James W. Schuessler, 51, was charged with driving under the influence, and James D. Schuessler, 19, was charged with simple assault. The report lists the address for both as 209 Maytide St.
DUI, drug possession: Police said that Brett Tinker, 22, of 1452 Bellaire Place, Brookline, was charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana Aug. 26 on Bower Hill Road.
Assault, other charges: Erica Kosarich, 30, of 9444 Route 908, Tarentum, was charged with aggravated assault, disorderly conduct and harassment in an Aug. 28 incident on Bower Hill Road, according to police.
Resisting arrest: Police said that Clinton Pohl, 20, of 586 Clemson Drive, Mt. Lebanon, was arrested on a warrant from an outside agency and charged with resisting arrest. The report lists the location of the incident as Clemson Drive.
Peters Township
Thefts from vehicles: Police said that charges will be filed against a man and woman who are accused of thefts from vehicles at various Peters Township car dealerships. On Sept. 2, police set up surveillance near South Hills Chrysler, 3344 Washington Road, and shortly after midnight, they observed two individuals enter the dealership’s parking lot and try to gain access to vehicles. The pair then were stopped by police, who said there have been a string of similar incidents at several locations.
South Fayette
Criminal mischief: Someone threw a rock through the window of an excavator parked in the 800 block of Hickory Grade Road between 5 p.m. Sept. 1 and 7 a.m. Sept. 2. Estimated repair is $500, according to police.
Jewelry missing: A resident of the 100 block of Hickory Heights Drive told police Sept. 4 that two pieces of jewelry were missing: a necklace with diamonds, valued at $3,000, and an antique engagement ring, valued at $9,800.
