Mainstay Life Services to hold annual golf outing
The 10th Annual Charlie Ross Memorial Charity Invitational Golf Outing will be held at noon Sept. 16 at Lindenwood Golf Club, North Straband Township.
The event, hosted by Mainstay Life Services, a Scott Township nonprofit organization that provides support services for people with developmental disabilities, will use the proceeds to assist the more than 350 individuals within the service.
Money raised at past events provided funds for personal items and medical needs including dentures, eyeglasses and hearing aids.
The cost is $200 per person or $800 per foursome and includes 18 holes of golf, cart, lunch and beverages. There also will be many skills contests – closest to the pin challenge, longest putt and longest drive – and a chance to win a new car with a hole-in-one. Sponsorships are still available.
The event will conclude with appetizers, cocktails, dinner, raffles, a silent auction and prizes.
