Sept. 17

Theatre organ program

Theater organist Pierre Fracalanza will perform his “Sight & Sound” multimedia program for the first time in Pittsburgh at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 17 in the Keystone Oaks High School auditorium, off Kelton Avenue in Dormont. Doors open at 6:45.

Presented by the Pittsburgh Area Theatre Organ Society, the program blends the PATOS Wurlitzer Theatre Organ with projected videos to create a concert experience for the ears and eyes.

Fracalanza will play the music of such traditional favorites as Cole Porter and George Gershwin. He also will pay musical tribute to organist-pianist Buddy Cole, who was one of Hollywood’s busiest musicians in the 1950s and ’60s.

Admission is $15 in advance or $20 at the door. Students are free with identification.

Tickets are available at www.pittsburghtheatreorgan.com or at www.showclix.com/event/pierre.
