Bethel Park welcomes new police officers
Bethel Park’s four new police officers officially joined the force during an Aug. 1 ceremony in council chambers.
District Judge Ron Arnoni administered the oath of office to Anthony Agliori, Michael Antonace, Brittney Richter and Charles Thomas, whose hiring council approved on July 10. Police Chief Timothy O’Connor presented all with their badges.
All four officers previously worked for Pittsburgh police and will now enter a three-month field training program.
The new officers bolster the department’s ranks with the impending retirements of three officers before the end of the year and one more in 2018. Another officer is expected to take a yearlong leave of absence to serve in the military.
