Haunted House in Bethel Park offers reward for break-in information

Operators of Hundred Acres Manor in Bethel Park say they will not press charges against the first individual who comes forward in the case of a break-in that occurred Aug. 1 at the nonprofit haunted house.
“We’ll still honor the $5,000 cash reward for information leading to the arrest of other parties involved,” a Monday morning post on the attraction’s Facebook page stated.
Allegheny County police continue to investigate the incident, in which multiple items were stolen or damaged, including computer equipment and security devices.
Anyone who has information can email media@hundredacresmanor.com or call the county police at 412-473-1251.
Hundred Acres Manor, which is located at South Park, plans to open as scheduled on Sept. 8 for its 14th season. Volunteers ages 14 and older are invited to participate.
The attraction is run by Funds for Charities LLC, which as of 2015 had donated more than $1.5 million to Pittsburgh-area nonprofit organizations. Beneficiaries listed on www.hundredacresmanor.com are Animal Friends, Homeless Children’s Education Fund, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and Scott Township-based Ward Home Inc., which provides independent living programs for at-risk teens and young adults in southwestern Pennsylvania.
